“A chic home makes you happy, and a happy home makes you chic.” — Jonathan Adler
So, what is Shenandoah Chic? We have some thoughts on the subject, but first some news. Our website is being refreshed and with it, the blog! Because we have enjoyed spending time with you over the years discussing homes and lifestyle choices, we decided to name the blog Shenandoah Chic! We love our valley and all that it means to live here. Soon, you will be able to click on the name at the top of the website, and then voila! Stay tuned.
What does it mean to be chic? It is really about loving who you are and where you are living. The rest comes naturally. Here are a few things that we consider Shenandoah chic!
Past is present.

Our long history is the basis for who we are today; but we keep moving forward. Set in a grand red brick building dating from 1924, The George Washington Hotel is, once again, a fashionable setting for a party, wedding reception or just a casual drink at the Half Note Lounge.
Festive tables.

We love a pretty table; always remember that we eat with our eyes first! But beautiful doesn’t have to mean expensive. The plates are from Big Lots and the napkins were purchased at the local (and very stylish) shop, Kimberly’s . Now that is chic!
Apples!

Apples, everywhere! We are known for our apples nationwide. And they add panache to any table.
The Bloom.

Over 75 years of parades and pageantry and princesses! The annual Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival brings together generations of people to celebrate.
