“Small cheer and great welcome makes a merry feast.” — William Shakespeare
This year’s celebration will be small due to Covid but the cheer is large. Gratitude is on the menu; it makes any feast a merry one. At The Feltner Group, we are so grateful for our friends and families and clients. Thank you for helping us do what we love. Over this very difficult year, we have appreciated your prayers and good wishes. Please accept our thanks.
Let’s get started on making the best of our Thanksgiving celebrations. Here we go!
Create an outdoor oasis.
Many of us will be experiencing Thanksgiving alfresco for the first time. For decor, look around your garden for containers that are functional and stylish. Instead of flower arrangements, use greenery to pair with the feast. Light the fire pit and bring out the fleeces. Turkey and the fixins in the garden are sure to be memorable.
After Turkey Day, consider using an outdoor container to store a hot pink Christmas Cactus or a ruby red Poinsettia. Bring the container/plant inside for an unusual look in the kitchen or dining room.
Love the one you’re with.
Being safe is crucial this Thanksgiving. Small can be just as magical, so don’t hold back on the style. Set the table with your finest and celebrate the joy of family and food and fun. It will mean a lot to be surrounded by beauty and love.
Take a plate to a friend.
Do you have an homebound neighbor? Or perhaps you have a special aunt with a lot of health risks. Even if they cannot attend a Thanksgiving meal, they still need to eat and feel connected. Local stores still have plenty of Thanksgiving tableware available. Stock up and present your mobile feast with the same panache as the table at home.
Happy Thanksgiving! Let us keep the feast.
